Raleigh, NC, Dec. 4, 2019 – Inmates to Entrepreneurs, a national program that helps justice-involved people start their own businesses, announced today that Lawrence R. Carpenter has been selected to serve as chairman of the board. Carpenter succeeds Brian Hamilton, the organization’s founder.
Carpenter is the founder and owner of Superclean Professional Janitorial Services. Through Superclean, he has provided 17 years of employment and commercial cleaning services throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He is also co-owner of ZBS Trucking.
Carpenter has served on the Inmates to Entrepreneurs Board for more than five years and has served as both a mentor and speaker with the organization since 2009.
“I am proud to serve as chairman. Our organization is growing and doing amazing work, and I am looking forward to continuing our expansion to help more and more people,” Carpenter said. “Judicially-involved people need real help getting a legitimate second chance in our society,” he added.
“Lawrence is a walking, breathing, living example of what we are all about. He started and developed his own highly successful business and has been an integral part of our organization. We are very grateful for him and for his enhanced role as Chairman,” Brian Hamilton said.
