Vice President of Public Affairs - Eastern North Carolina

Tom serves as the Foundation’s Director of Community Relations where he is responsible for outreach and partnerships for Eastern North Carolina.


Tom’s entrepreneurial journey started in college as a franchise manager for an international student service provider. It was at this time, Tom learned his passion for starting and growing businesses.

After college, Tom turned his passion for skiing and biking into two ski and Sport shop stores. His next venture was business to business direct marketing and lead generation where he founded Leadtrackers. An integrated telemarketing, direct marketing, and sales management company. After selling his equity position to pursue a business he was passionate about, began his 22 plus year career in residential and commercial renovation work. This work expanded into to real estate investment and construction in South Carolina where he founded Pina development, a small coastal real estate investment company.

As Vice President of Public Affairs for Eastern North Carolina, Tom helps to strategically plan local and regional aspects of the foundation’s missions in order to promote Entrepreneurship for all.
